This page describes the Generic Magic Apparel items in Skyrim.

All of the randomly generated enchanted armor, clothing, and jewelry in the game are listed on this page, including items found on enemy NPCs and items found in loot.

Tempering any magic armor requires the Arcane Blacksmith perk to be unlocked. The type of ingot or other material necessary for the upgrade, as well as which Smithing perk augments the upgrade, is the same as for the base version of the armor.

The base version of each armor is highlighted via a link in the armor name; that link leads to the page detailing the base armor. Clothing can not be upgraded. The levels in the table describe the base level at which an item begins to show up randomly for the player, and appears to only be a hard minimum level for shops.

Lower level items will also randomly appear, but so will higher level armors in certain "loot" situations: potentially up to at least 12 levels "early". Fortify Alchemy12 pts. Fortify Alchemy15 pts. The shrub blooms in spring, with small but dense clusters of bell-shaped, white flowers at the ends of the branches. In fall, the flowers are replaced by clusters of white berries. The berries are the showiest feature of the shrub and last well into winter.

Snowberries

Plant snowberries in full sun or partial shade. The shrubs are found naturally along stream banks and in swampy thickets, but they thrive in dry areas as well. They tolerate a wide range of soil types, and while they prefer clay, they also grow well in sandy and rocky soils. Snowberries are an asset in wildlife gardens where they provide food and shelter for birds and small mammals. Bees, butterflies, moths, and hummingbirds are attracted to the shrub.

They also do well in exposed areas where they tolerate strong winds. Vigorous roots make the plants suitable for soil stabilization on hillsides and stream banks. Even though wildlife enjoys eating the fruit of the snowberry bush, it is poisonous to humans and should never be eaten. Snowberry bush care is intensive because of the vigorous suckering and the numerous diseases that infect the plant.

Anthracnosepowdery mildewrustsand rots are just a few of the problems that infest snowberries. Pulling up and cutting off suckers is a constant chore. Snowberries grow about 3 feet 1 m. Keep the soil moist until the plant is established.

Afterward, it tolerates dry spells. Prune regularly to remove diseased and damaged parts of the shrub. Where diseases like powdery mildew are serious problems, try to open up the shrub to allow better air circulation. Remove suckers as they appear. Read more articles about Snowberry Bush.

They know that native plants are well-adapted to their growing conditions having evolved to survive there. Native plants also provide food for native birds, animals and insects which non-native plants do not. When planning your landscape, you should try to plan for winter interest as well as summer looks.

How to Grow Snowberries for Winter Interest

A good native shrub that will grow in almost any conditions while providing winter interest is the snowberry Symphoricarpos spp. Snowberry bushes, also known as waxberry or ghostberry, are native to North America. They are deciduous shrubs meaning they lose their leaves in the winter just like many trees. They range in height from 3 to 6 feet and 3 to 6 feet in width. Snowberry bushes are hardy in zones 3 through 7. They grow best in full sun, but will tolerate some shade.

They are not particular about soil growing in anything from loam to clay. The bushes bloom from mid-May to July. The flowers are white or pink, depending on the variety.

The berries range in color from white to pink to red, again depending on the variety. Most have white berries which is the source of its names, snowberry, waxberry and ghostberry. Each berry contains two seeds. What makes the shrubs attractive in the winter is that although the shrubs lose their leaves, the berries remain throughout the winter until they are eaten by birds. Snowberry berries are poisonous for humans. They contain alkaloids which cause dizziness and vomiting.

Many native plants, including snowberries, are winter food for native birds. Grouse, quails and pheasants are particularly fond of snowberries. Plant the bushes to attract these native birds. Snowberries do not attract butterflies, but they do attract two of our native moths, the Vashti Sphinx moth and the Clearwing moth. The moths lay their eggs on snowberry bushes because the leaves are the food preferred by their caterpillars.

Clearwing moths are easy to find because they are active during the day. Vashti Sphinx moths are a little harder to spot. They are only active at dawn and dusk. Snowberry bushes are easy to grow. Your local nursery should carry a variety that is suitable for your growing zone. You can plant them almost anywhere in your landscape because they will grow in sun or partial shade. Pruning should be done in late winter or early spring.

The shrubs are drought tolerant, deer resistant, and are not susceptible to disease or insect damage. You can plant them grouped as a hedge or just have one specimen plant. Because they are so tolerant of different conditionsand sucker, they are a great plant for erosion control.

They sucker easily which means that they produce new bushes via underground runners much like bamboo. The suckers help stabilize embankments and prevent erosion. The suckers can be a problem, though. Snowberries can become invasive like bamboo.Home Discussions Workshop Market Broadcasts. Install Steam. It is only visible to you.
